37 countries to compete at the 2022 European Junior Team Championships

Participation of 37 national teams at the European Junior Championship Belgrade 2022 announces that the Serbian capital will soon be the centre of European badminton. From 18 to 27 August the top U19 players will represent their national teams on both team and individual events at the Athletic Hall in Belgrade.
With the last edition having taken place in 2020 in Finland, we are now back on track in full force for Serbia with 32 teams that have entered to compete from 18 to 22 August, when the team event will be taking place. The individual continental championship in all five competitions: men's and women's singles, men's, women's and mixed doubles will be held from 22 to 27 august when Europe will find out who are the best of the best junior U19 players in 2022.
The following 37 teams have entered to compete at the 2022 European Junior Championships: Armenia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Island, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Nederlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and Wales.
Among the favorites is Denmark, the current European champion, but it remains to be seen if they can win the title once again or Europe will get a new champion. The temperature is heating up in the European badminton community because now it is certain that the strongest teams will participate in the championship, such as France, which not so long ago won two championships in a row - in 2017 and 2018, then England, Germany, Ukraine, Turkey..
It is a great privilege for the Belgrade and Badminton Association of Serbia to host this prestigious competition organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Serbia and the City of Belgrade. With the support of the partners of the tournament: Coca Cola Hellenic, Bambi, Touristic organization of Serbia, Touristic organization of Belgrade and Tinsped, Serbian hosts will do their best to provide an amazing sports atmosphere and great hospitality for all participants during the 10 days of the Competition.
One thing is sure - all players, coaches, officials and guests will enjoy their stay and create unforgettable memories on and off the court.
